I'm sitting here going slightly nutty trying to figure out how to use TypePad (the software that runs this site). Hey, I write about technology and I can't figure it out! Did it occur to anyone that there are just too many things to learn in this world? But, alas, that doesn't stop the world from turning.
These days, if you're not moving forward you're actually going backward. Which brings me to the topic of this site. If you're looking to reinvent your life, find happiness (or just get rid of a pain-in-the-you-know-where boss or job), I'll try to keep you informed and pointed in at least the right general direction. My book, AARP Crash Course in Finding the Work You Love, provides tips, hints, and information on every aspect of making a career change and finding greater happiness and fulfillment.
I know. I know. Changing careers seems like a trek up Mt. Everest. You don't know if you can do it. But just like the climb up a peak, the transition to a new career and life takes place one step at a time. Stayed tuned to this blog (and the site) for stories, news, and information about everything from understanding your recareering style to coping with age discrimation; finding a suitable career to managing money. And please feel free to provide feeback! Every journey begins with a first step!
